Shipping Policy

American Garage Door Supply is committed to fast, accurate, and reliable order fulfillment. Please review our shipping policy below so you know what to expect after placing an order.


1) Order Processing Times

Same-day shipment is available on many in-stock items when ordered before the cut-off times below. All cut-off times are Central Time, Monday through Friday.

Same-day shipment requires that all items are in stock, payment has been approved, and the order can be fully processed before carrier pickup. Selecting an expedited shipping method at checkout does not guarantee same-day shipment.

  • Items not eligible for same-day shipment typically ship within 1-2 business days after the order is placed.
  • Orders placed after the daily cut-off, after normal business hours, on weekends, or on holidays are processed the next business day.
  • During peak seasons, promotions, or severe weather events, processing and carrier transit times may be extended.

Custom or made-to-order items: Processing times vary based on the product and will be shown on product pages, checkout, or communicated by our team.

2) Shipping Methods & Carriers

We ship using a variety of carriers depending on the item, package size, and destination, including:

  • Small parcel carriers (e.g., UPS/FedEx/USPS)
  • Freight/LTL carriers for oversized or heavy shipments, must contact us.

We reserve the right to select the carrier and service level that best matches your order and delivery location.

3) Shipping Rates

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on package dimensions/weight, destination, and service level.
  • If an order requires freight (LTL), costs may be quoted at checkout or confirmed by our team prior to shipment.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable (see Section 10 for exceptions related to errors/defects).

4) Estimated Delivery Times (Transit)

Transit times begin after an order ships. Transit times shown by UPS or any other carrier refer to carrier transit only and do not include order processing time.

  • Typical delivery ranges are provided at checkout, but delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed.
  • Carrier delays due to weather, service disruptions, incorrect addresses, or peak volume are outside our control.

5) Tracking Information

  • When available, tracking details are sent by email once your order ships.
  • Freight shipments may include tracking or appointment scheduling information depending on the carrier.

6) Address Accuracy & Delivery Issues

Please verify your shipping address before submitting your order.

  • If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the customer is responsible for any reshipping costs.
  • If a carrier charges address correction fees, those fees may be passed through to the customer.

7) Oversized Items, Freight Shipments, & Delivery Appointments

Some items (including certain garage door hardware, long packages, or bulk orders) may require freight shipment.

  • Freight deliveries typically deliver curbside and may require an appointment.
  • The customer is responsible for having the ability to receive and unload freight deliveries (e.g., forklift, liftgate service if required, extra labor, etc.).
  • If liftgate service or special delivery access is needed, contact us before ordering so it can be arranged.

8) Partial Shipments & Backorders

To get you what you need faster, your order may ship in multiple packages or multiple shipments.

  • If an item is out of stock or delayed, we may ship available items first and ship the remainder when ready.
  • If you prefer to hold the order and ship everything together, contact us immediately after ordering (requests may not be possible once processing begins).

9) Restocking Fees

  • Obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) before shipping any product back.
  • Custom product is non-returnable. (e.g., brushseal, torsion springs.)
  • Freight must be pre-paid by the customer.
  • A 25% restocking fee applies to non-warranty returns accepted upon inspection.

10) Damaged Packages, Missing Items, or Lost Shipments

Inspect your delivery immediately. If you notice damage:

  • Take clear photos of the box and product (including the shipping label).
  • Keep all packaging materials.
  • Notify us within 7 days of delivery so we can assist with a claim, replacement, or resolution.

If your tracking shows "delivered" but you did not receive your package:

  • Check around the delivery location and with others at the address.
  • Contact us as soon as possible so we can help investigate with the carrier.

11) Shipping Costs & Returns

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was shipped in error or arrived defective/incorrect (as outlined in our Refund & Return Policy).
  • All returns require prior authorization and a Return Authorization (RA) number.

12) International Shipping (If Applicable)

If you need shipping outside the United States, please contact us for options and a quote. International customers are responsible for any duties, taxes, or import fees assessed by the destination country.
